Canadian Wheat Supplier & Exporter (Prairie Programs)
Bennett’s Seed supplies bulk Canadian wheat through contract-based Prairie programs for global importers, millers, and Canadian processors. Our focus is repeatable performance: consistent specifications, lot IDs, and documentation built for repeat buying, not random spot loads.
How Our Supply Programs Work
Our group operates a program model designed for consistency and traceability:
- BNCP contracts directly with growers and manages the supply program.
- After harvest, lots are cleaned, graded, and packaged at the nearest practical facility to origin.
- Lots are then allocated to our market-facing subsidiaries, and Bennett’s Seed handles final sales to domestic Canadian buyers or export markets.

Origin: Canadian Prairies
Our wheat programs are sourced from the Canadian Prairies, with production concentrated in Saskatchewan, followed by Alberta and Manitoba.

Wheat Classes & End-Use Fit (CGC Framework)
Canadian wheat varieties are grouped into classes based on functional characteristics, and classes are categorized as western or eastern depending on growing regions. For Prairie export programs, buyers commonly contract around western Canadian wheat classes aligned to the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) framework.
- CWRS (Canada Western Red Spring): milling quality and gluten strength suitable for bread and general milling programs (contract-based).
- CPS (Canada Prairie Spring): value-driven milling and blending programs (contract-based).
- Other western classes by request: CWHWS, CNHR, CWES, CWRW and additional class-specific programs when available.
Note: If your buying program requires a specific class, we align supply to that class and confirm details by lot and documentation.
Typical Contract Parameters (Set by Buyer, Confirmed by Lot)
Specifications are set by contract and confirmed by lot. Typical parameters include:
Standards note: Falling Number and DON are not listed as official grading factors in Canada’s Official Grain Grading Guide; where required, they are handled as contract specifications and/or buyer-requested verification.
